Ask HN: Anyone getting billed for supposed iMessages as SMSs?

I'm talking about blue-bubbled conversations under an "iMessage" heading (that stay that way in the history) showing up on the monthly cell phone bill as SMS traffic. I see dozens and dozens of them and don't see how that could be possible if the phone verifies it delivered them via iMessage.
