Aboriginal Tasmanians arrived there 40000 years ago when it was still a peninsula, and got cut off of Australia 8000 years ago, around the dawn of agriculture and animal husbandry. Afaik agriculture never made it to Australia (at least not in any sort of large scale) before the western invasion, let alone to Tasmania.
