I think the future predictions miss one major possibility: That ubiquitous/powerful AI is available only to very few people (super rich and corporations) and everybody else is pushed back to basically subsistence living, where they have nothing of value to offer the other side of society because everything has been automated away. So maybe sharpen your kids on their manual labour too
