- Sakos 3y agoWas that ever their goal? They're more than happy to sell games from other developers on the Unreal store. I'm sure being a sort of one-stop shop for games on Mac/iOS is their ultimate goal. Nobody has given any reason why this is a bad thing for Epic or why Epic would even make a store that only their stuff is sold on. That makes zero sense considering their PC strategy. They'll still get a cut selling third-party apps that aren't made by them.
- drooopy 3y agoThis is so infuriating. Why does apple think that they can dictate what companies can and cannot sell through their own stores? This is gangster mentality, plain and simple.
- SllX 3y agoTechnically speaking none of these alt stores exist in the EU App Store right now, so anything that does get listed in the future is from a developer account that agreed to these terms. The way to negotiate these terms is to refuse them.
- moogly 3y agoEpic should counter by offering Apple to put App Store on the Epic Store whilst Epic takes a cut.
- godzillabrennus 3y agoIt’s like App Store inception.
- joshstrange 3y agoI can’t tell if this is actually a comment on the EU DMA…
