The difference is that CPUs/GPUs are deterministic.
You can write software and it will always work, and it will be composable. It's kind of "disappointing" that for so many problems the "winning" approach seems to be "just download internet.tar.gz".
- MeImCounting 3y agoWhy is it not disappointing that for decades now the winning approach was just to give up on using your homemade CPU and get something from Intel instead?
