Literally not what happened. What happened was:
- "Amazon" called about suspicious activity
- "Amazon" transferred to "FTC investigation"
- "FTC investigation" transferred to "CIA"
This layered approach is key to the tactic. People are much less resistant to manipulation than they think, as is obvious in the current political craziness.
- flerchin 3y agoIt would be interesting to get the numbers from the perpetrators. What do you imagine their success-rate to be? I think it's quite low, probably sub 1%.
