People already don't walk around enough, and there's plenty of benefits to walking (including cognitive: https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/experience-engineering/202001/how-walking-enhances-cognitive-performance https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/experience-engineeri...) mostly because it helps us think differently/better.
So beyond the awkwardness, discomfort, and other reasons, for the sake of preserving walking as one of the last truly disconnected moments in one's day it would be good to simply not do it with the same distractions we face when we sit in front of our laptops
