Ask HN: Is Delaware still the recommended location for US company incorporation?
- 082349872349872 3y agoWhy would it not be?
- 6sp 3y agoElon’s recent Tweet switching from Delaware to Texas probably raises some questions
- 082349872349872 3y agoNot that HN provides especially reliable advice, but if so, I'm glad OP asked here because at least it may be (in the case of Leftium's comment, probably is) better than acting on any dubious short social media take. - Leftium 3y agoDelaware is recommended if your goal is go public (IPO) or get acquired. Otherwise, the state you reside/do business in is recommended. (You must register a foreign LLC in that state anyways.) https://www.llcuniversity.com/delaware-llc/why-you-shouldnt-form-an-llc-in-delaware/ https://www.llcuniversity.com/delaware-llc/why-you-shouldnt-...
