My wife switched to Univerbal/Quasel (they've done a couple Show HNs). It's an AI that holds conversations with her, either text or audio. She wouldn't suggest it for a total novice, but as a B1 French speaker she's pretty happy with it. It's great practice, and is helping her pronunciation, vocab, etc.
