It's a surprisingly strong position. Respects occams razor, low amount of moving parts, etc.
- msla 3y agoA supernatural being is the exact opposite of Occam's Razor, in that it posits a maximally-complex being that did everything.
- boringuser2 3y ago"Maximality" is neither implied nor required. All that is required is sufficient intellectual superiority to man, which is extremely feasible. It's just for our understanding that we'd call such a being god. That's the word for it.
- Vecr 3y agoA universal sequence predictor can be used as a vastly better version of Occam's razor. It's not a god machine unless someone uses it wrong.
