You may be able to increase your expected value by choosing numbers that are less popular. It would be interesting to research the psychology behind number selection and choose combinations less likely to have a multi-payoff outcome.
- thedufer 14y agoInterestingly, this means that common "lucky" numbers are actually unlucky, to a degree inversely proportional to their perceived luckiness across the population.
- ufo 14y agoI remember hearing a story once about six people that shared a lottery prize because they used a number from a fortune cookie.
