Because your ego is too big and you are too infatuated with stroking it by "saving the planet" you didn't apply common sense. Plastic shopping bags, for everyone I know, were never "single use". You bring groceries home in them, then you use them in small trashes as trash bags, or use them in your gym bag for your sweaty gross clothes. Now you are forcing me to purchase what are truly single use plastic bags, because you took the free ones away. Additionally we have now added a paper bag, a second single use bag into the equation.
