Apple fans are starting to return their Vision Pros
- vdaea 3y agoHaving purchased a Vision Pro does not make you an "Apple fan". The headline makes it sound like Apple fanboys are forsaking their allegiances because of how bad the Vision Pro is, which is not what the article says.
- vmoore 3y ago> Comfort is among the most cited reasons for returns. People have said the headset gives them headaches and triggers motion sickness I don't own one, but this is a common complaint I've heard. I guess the trick is not to wear one 24/7 and take sporadic breaks. Just like we do with phones or desktop PCs. The dream of the AR/VR maxis is to have us all plugged in 24/7 but there's caveats to that.
- PaulHoule 3y agoDuring the Christmas break I was playing through Asgard's Wrath 2 (still not done) and there were a few days that I played for five hours, not in one session, but in several sessions. That's with the Meta Quest 3 with the Elite Strap, I don't think I could have stood to play that long with the strap that came with the MQ3. I definitely made a plan to acclimatize myself to VR, starting out with short sessions and moving to longer sessions and also picking up a range of software to use in it so that I could keep in the habit. Now that I am developing my own "worlds" for it using A-Frame I have a lot of insight into how different user interfaces work.
