What the West refuses to learn from other countries is that you can literally eradicate crime by eradicating criminals

- sirtaj 3y agoYou can hardly compare a grandfather dictatorship that's smaller than most major cities as something that western countries would want to emulate. Aside from the fact that it's the kind of place where they'll put you to death for a gram of weed. Nobody in the west wants that.

- fennecfoxy 3y agoAnd the best way to address that is the root cause of why the criminals are criminals in the first place and imprison the few that refuse to change. Also, non-Western countries generally don't have a great track record with things like gay rights, women's right, etc. So I'm mostly happy that we do things the Western way and not otherwise.
- spoonjim 3y agoPoor Asian seniors in San Francisco go around and collect cans for refund. Other people break into cars and still others mug people. Give the car thieves 3 chances and the muggers zero.
