Um... Yes they can and ought to be.
The obligation for being a leader of a government for and by the people is primarily to serve the interest of the people.
The obligation of the leader of a company is to serve those whose money they're in care of to maximize returns.
Conservatively humans have let the old and wise be essential leaders of our families, communities, and larger groups. We are in a society where we select our leaders (in the general sense), if our society selects someone to lead then that is the choice of our society.
If we want to modify the criteria for whom we can select for being our leaders then we to make those changes ahead of time not in the middle of a selection process.
- carabiner 3y agoDo you generally support a formalized gerontocracy, then? Biden's the age of a nursing home resident. Traditionally, parents reach an age where their kids take care of them and we accept that they can't take care of themselves. Why should they be in charge of an entire country?
