See? Leaving the 10base2 and Thicknet in the walls was a good idea. There never was a valid excuse for twinax, tho. Honestly this makes me wanna go look at some of the commercial media converter boxes and see just how good their modems actually are, by testing them on a range of media. 10base5 was called "garden hose" cable but I've got a chuck of some stuff around here somewhere that's nasty like firehose coax. Xmitter leadline. that oughtta pass a bit or two. what's 300ohm ladder line look like through these? barbed wire? :)
