This article might have been useful 5 years ago. Today however the answer is clear, there is only .Net, currently in version 8 which is an LTS release.
Microsoft maintains NetFramework and has said they will not be making feature updates anymore.
If you are starting a new project you should target net8.0. If you’re still targeting framework you should be in the process of migrating.
