I don’t think there’s really that many people who can successfully bullshit about being experienced and skilled technologists. There’s something lacking with your interviewing skills if you can’t detect them in a conversation. If on the off chance you do get some sociopath that somehow escapes all efforts of detection, well, it’s easy to fire people, in the US anyway.
