I’m surprised by the model of making new articles free and old articles available only to paid subscribers (with some exceptions). I would have guessed the opposite.
- Atreiden 3y agoI think it's a savvy move. It removes a very common layer of friction when clicking through to a linked article, and makes people more likely to click your links. And then you're able to effectively monetize the pieces of older content with lasting value. Incentivizes good, in-depth journalism.
