The reason patents (and copyright) have gotten so bad is a mixture of corrupt lobbying activity and a quagmire of questionable international treaties.
- AlbertCory 3y agoPolitics happen. Things that were previously unthinkable suddenly become thinkable. It only seems "suddenly" because all the behind-the-scenes activity was going on when no one was looking.
