In my area these houses are snatched up by real estate companies and turned into rentals within a week of closing.

- swells34 3y agoYoung people paying a massive portion of their income (significantly larger than previous generations) just to have a roof, and gaining zero equity in the process. Hence "renting", as opposed to "owning".
