I would take more chances if I wasn't in the legal field. I did take more chances before. But saying "your app won't be done on schedule" isn't the same as saying "you're going to jail because we didn't file your appeal on time." An even bigger question is if it worked for you. Goes getting over the hump turn the job into something fulfilling and enjoyable, or does it just make it easier to get over the next hump.
