This is one of those studies that make me go, no sh*. Is it good to have data that actually backs up what I think is general common knowledge but this is the world that has been asked for. As a man, when you interact a woman you run a risk of that action being misinterpreted. Even when laws that are in place to protect Good Samaritans or bystanders that risk of misinterpretation doesn't go away. Because the people who decide if that law comes into play to protect you do it with hindsight. While most of the times the laws is supposed to be interpreted through the reasonable person standard in the situation it is impossible for any human to ignore hindsight.
