Read the article. Basically before the process to move graphene from a deposition chamber was:
1. Apply Scotch tape (or other stabilizing tape)
2. Use acid bath to etch away the copper the graphene was held to
3. Place the graphene where it needed to go
4. Etch away Scotch tape using a solvent
Now the steps are:
1. Apply special UV tape
2. Etch away copper substrate
3. Place the graphene where it needs to go
4. Apply UV light, so the tape is less flexible and 10% less sticky
5. Carefully peel them apart
Seems like the last step got a little easier
If they perfect it, they'd like to move larger graphene pieces (currently the largest is 10cm^2) and enabling shipping of graphene to other scientists. Currently graphene is hard to ship, as it's really delicate, usually only moved around the lab or short distances

- woleium 3y agoIt’s kida sticky? https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0038109812002359 https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S00381...
