American parents are allowing their children to be made so stupid and pacified by TikTok that China won’t need to go to war. The US will just not engage and China will be able to do whatever they want.
Edit: yeah downvote away, I don’t care. People need to speak up about the garbage that kids are watching on these apps. If adults want to ruin their minds with this trash, fine, but don’t target kids.
- scrubs 3y agoWe have problems. But tiktok isn't the top one.

- henriquez 3y agoChina could just stop selling cheap Chinese crap to U.S. companies. That alone would put Walmart and "Scamazon Crime" out of business and our economy would implode, no war required. As far as an AI war, I imagine dueling GPTs who cannot say anything hurtful to each other due to their system prompts. It would still be more productive (and potentially more entertaining) than crypto mining.
- anonzzzies 3y agoIt is strange that your opinion, at least here, is not a clearly accepted one. People who think a few seconds videos made by ‘influencers’ who try you to get to buy garbage while you scroll through most of your day at break neck speed is good for the brain, are probably already too far away in addiction of the platform themselves.
- Engineering-MD 3y agoI think adults need to be safe guarded against any digital opium equivalents as well. I’m not saying banned, but made more irritating to access certainly
- powerapple 3y agoMaybe with artificial intelligence, we don't need many smart kids any more. Tell me why do we need smart kids (if we don't have to compete with other countries, i.e. if it is not required for war).
- olig15 3y agoI can’t tell if this comment is a joke or not? Surely you can’t be serious?
- powerapple 3y agoIf there is no risk of war (economically and militarily), I don't think you "need" technology. Of course, it is good to have technology, but it is not a necessity for survival.
- thejazzman 3y agoI suspect anyone disagreeing with you isn't observing the youth I cringe so hard around my nieces. It's scary. > why are you showing me a Nike ad? < it's not an ad! "It's a web experience!"
