So, I was barely able to view the website (I'm not sure if that's just me, or if that is how the site is supposed to be designed, but from the youtube linked by @Topfi, is this a good use case for the glasses? Why would I want to read that information? Meta glasses can do this and speak the info to me, which seems a nicer UX.
There are definitely things that would be better in the visual field, directions is the obvious one, but that's been seen so many times. Seeing as we all QR code menus at restaurants now, how about scanning and showing a menu. Sure it isn't AI, but that's not the point of the glasses.
I find these devices, Humane and Brilliant, focus too much on the AI component when the magic is the hardware they've developed. AI is and will be everywhere. It can run everywhere. I feel we're already at the point where "it has AI" is as valuable as "we've built an iphone app that..."
Rabbit is the exception here, which is why they standout. The AI is the compelling part of their offering, and the hardware is designed to limit the availability of the AI giving the early adopters the opportunity to train the AI on the tasks it will be able to complete for the mainstream, when the market gets there.
