I think quite a few people would see that as oversharing, "I only met him 3 minutes ago and he tells me his medical history?". Which is not to say keep it quiet or a secret, just don't push it out there so soon. Maybe they want to be left alone for their own reasons, nothing to do with you. Just one POV.
