Why cant they make all robocalls illegal? Name me one good robocall
- jimbob45 3y agoThe pharmacy calling to tell me that my prescription is ready. Those may be AI-generated too if they add the medication name in. Not sure if that's covered by this ruling though.

In this instance they are not making a new law, they are declaring that the powers granted to them under the TCPA (a law passed by Congress in 1991) allows them to regulate/ban AI voiced calls. > Name me one good robocall. Government services. Voter info, school closures, water outages, etc.
