Ask HN: What Is the Future of Fintech?
Is anything interesting going on in Fintech anymore? I remember when Robinhood, Stripe, Square and all were great but now it's boring again.
Is anyone building something interesting?
- JumpinJack_Cash 3y agoTo me at least an app or dapp taking the role of 'mortgage broker' to connect borrowers with lenders, especially defi lenders if they become prominent. Don't know if somebody is building that or not.
- mrbishalsaha 3y agoNo crypto. I bet on crypto once as a dev and I see no future. As for 'mortgage broker', I am building one actually in India
- JumpinJack_Cash 3y agoNice, I saw of Facebook and Linkedin that the groups for mortgage brokerage services and professionals are actually bigger in India than in the US/UK. The biggest in India have about 60,000 members whereas UK/US about 20,000. Seems like you guys are experiencing a stellar growth in this sector. What are the lenders? Just banks or also insurance companies and Private Debt?
- mrbishalsaha 3y agoState Bank of India is obviously the biggest with 50% or close rest are mostly private banks. Nothing huge technological change in this side yet.
