  You linked to a YouTube video of a CBS News report? Please find a more reliable source next time. Also, define "smarter." AI is already smarter than any human who ever lived in terms of its breadth if knowledge. AI is already smarter than any human who evet lived in terms if its speed. That is called "speed super intelligence." AI can edit images faster than any human who ever lived.

    The video is an in-person discussion with Geoffrey Hinton, and the chip on your shoulder may be coloring your impression of reliability since the news agency and the person being interviewed stand rather apart to any reasonable person. Also, you are quibbling over the word 'smarter' and it doesn't seem like you are interested in opening the conversation further than to make your point of contention known. And, I have to ask whether you've seen the interview to begin with. Rude.
