- mattxxx 3y agoI know. This author is writing from a pretty weird place, especially if they're first categorizing fictional "Stanley" as backend Engineer.
- gipp 3y agoI get the vibe that this is a gripe the author has with one specific person they work with, but really want to frame it as a broad general pattern
- twhitmore 3y agoI don't know, I've met a lot of devs who've found the "true religion" of strict data integrity and have been reluctant to allow for the messier practicalities of user- and externally-sourced data. None of them called Stanley, but there's definitely a fairly common pattern I recognise.
