Useless, as in, it has no real value. Just like money. Imagine if someone would spend imense amount of non-renewable resources just to print money papers.

Useless, as in, it has no real value. Just like money. Imagine if someone would spend imense amount of non-renewable resources just to print money papers.
- pokstad 3y agoTechnically the US dollar is backed by the US government which includes a massive military to protect its interests. The government and military require enormous energy to do this. So the printing of the money by itself is not the only energy that paper money requires to work. By comparison, Bitcoin uses hardly any.
- XCSme 3y agoI think the military serves to protect the country, not the government. I doubt that the main reason to have an army is financial. There were armies way before the concept of money.
