There is a much simpler way of stopping homelessness, which is basically the only reason to have UBI: Increase property tax (by 10x for example) for investment property not including commercially zoned land. AKA Rental properties, Full House Airbnbs. Then doing the opposite for owners that create ADUs - tax breaks. Beyond that, if housing is cheap, people will always find creative ways to afford the rest of life.
