Calling for help already creates a psychological threshold to overcome
fear. Fear of ridicule. Fear of blame. Fear of freezing, or making
things worse.
Imagine if your child had stopped breathing, what state of mind you
might be in!! What kind of crazy things you might say... "It was all
my fault" etc.
Misuse of technology by fools with blind faith in it is an absolute
monster here. It's getting worse and AI will only accelerate it.
"Techno-spiritualism" may be a side of technofascism that we need to
address, as we slip back into the age of trepanning to release evil
spirits or witch-burning to cleanse souls. We're well into that
degenerate phase of technological idolatry with regression into
pseudo-science, cannibalism of institutions and basic human values.
As monitoring technology destroys confidentiality and assumptions of
good faith we have yet to see, for example, how many millions will die
of cancers, infections or just commonly curable ailments, because they
are too afraid to contact a doctor.
It's nice to have to have some faith in technology. It's fatal to make
it your God.
