funny how google translate reads it as "the Swedish Education Agency" despite it being norweigan. deepl gets it right
anyone with more knowledge of scandi languages able to understand why? is the "swedish" (or "norweigan") part implied?
- detolly 3y agoNorwegian here. I assume you mean "Utdanningsetaten", which literally translates to "The Education Agency". Apparently sweden does not use the same name, as their word for education is slightly different (utbildning instead of utdanning). Not sure why the translator got it so wrong.
- CapsAdmin 3y agoSeems like a "bug" of some sort in google translate. If you remove some context it works. "Utdanningsetaten" translates to "Education Agency". But I guess instead of "The Education Agency" it tries to translate it into context, which should be "The Norwegian Education Agency". However it seems confused about which country is being talked about so it just think it's Sweden maybe.
