I'm saying I can close exhaust flaps and switch map to make it quiet.
Because I appreciate not everyone wants to hear it.
OPs catch-all argument would ban my modifications.
It's a classic example of "I don't like X so let's ban it" without any rigor to examine or hear the various ways X isn't always ban worthy.
- lxgr 3y agoWhen would you ever not close them?
- sirsinsalot 3y agoEven from the factory they open in 2nd gear above a certain engine load. You don't understand how engines are designed.
- lxgr 3y agoYou’re right, I don’t. But empirically, I can see that building quiet ones that perform very well has been possible for many years now, so I consider intentionally buying a loud one and regularly using it anywhere other than on a racetrack sociopathic behavior.
- sirsinsalot 3y agoNot only do you not understand internal combustion engines, you also don't understand psychology too. But hey, let's not allow something like being uninformed stop us making broad statements and seeing the world as black-or-white.
