What is a data scientist, if they are not a statistician?

- blitzar 3y agoWhats this newspeak? Why cant people just talk properly like we did before the war? Not that silly little war, the actual war, WW1. I am a grumpy old man, fed up with all this newfangled nonsense.
- collyw 3y agoConstantly evolving language and job titles. I consider myself a programmer. I market myself as a software engineer in LinkedIn. I am a generalist who uses mostly python / Django. I like SQL and feel that the database should be leveraged to do the heavy lifting. But software engineers plug APIs together these days.
