You'll Have to Visit an Apple Store If You Forget Your Vision Pro Passcode
- ttfkam 3y agoFor a $3,500 piece of tech, I'm okay with this. Makes theft far less likely/lucrative.
- fortran77 3y agoNo. You should be able to log in in another Apple device and reset it
- ShamelessC 3y agoHow do you get around this on iOS?
- superb_dev 3y agoI haven’t had to do it in awhile, but I believe on every other Apple device you can use your Apple account to reset the local password
- kolinko 3y agoWhich is a good thing and an intended behaviour.
- fortran77 3y agoNo. You should be able to log into another Apple device and reset it. I did this when Mom forgot her iMac password but could still log into her iPad.
- cozzyd 3y agoI'm sure people in places like Jackson Hole won't mind driving four and a half hours to reset their password.
- onecommentman 3y agoIf you live in Jackson Hole, you send your minion to do that sort of thing.
- InCityDreams 3y agoI can't believe it can't be done by toothbrush.
- zoeysmithe 3y ago>Customers can opt for a longer or shorter passcode Its incredible to me we're allowing anything shorter than 6 digits. How many of these are going to be 1234 or 4321? I suspect a large number. If this is for anti-theft I don't see why Apple doesn't implement a better system. I'm always shocked to hear about iphones constantly getting stolen. Apple needs better ways to mark something stolen thus unsalable.
- Tagbert 3y agoOnce you report an iPhone as stolen, it cannot be registered again.
- HeatrayEnjoyer 3y agoOn a US network maybe. Many electronics are shipped to distant nations.
- Kirby64 3y agoSeems like they are fixing this in a new revision: https://www.macrumors.com/2024/02/06/visionos-1-1-beta-vision-pro-reset-option/ https://www.macrumors.com/2024/02/06/visionos-1-1-beta-visio...
- datavirtue 3y agoPerfect for grandma.
