Eh kind of. One of the recent themes at our all hands was “data collection for user benefit” which I’m sure is what every company says.
- tholtken 3y agoWhat does this even mean? How does Mozilla know what benefits me, the user?
- Vinnl 3y agoFor example, Firefox can collect quite a bit of data regarding what hardware correlates with what type of crashes on what code paths. It doesn't have to know anything about you to know that fewer crashes benefit you.
