What is YIFY?
- Double_a_92 3y agoA pirate group that was known for releasing movies in small files, but with a decent quality.
- scrlk 3y agoYIFY encodes were notorious for being bitrate starved to the point where good SD encodes trumped YIFY "HD".
- geraldhh 3y agotrue, but the overlap in quality between low/high resolution and bitrate encodes are neither historical nor limited to yify. as someone that grew up with VHS and VGA; 2-3mbps h264 720p is fine and few practical gains above 5mbps 1080p.
