It’s perfectly reasonable to renovate a historical building, following appropriate techniques, so that it can be appreciated as it was during its time. Greek ruins would be less compelling without the extensive restoration work.
- pests 3y agoBut then we get things like the Grand Gallery Big Step [0] which was restored to a perfect right angle [1] without any evidence that was the original or correct shape. Leading to diagrams like this[2] which no longer show that surface may have been angled like the rest of the Grand Gallery.
