I think google glass was different. it had a very visible camera on the front AND its primary purpose was to capture moments in daily life. Vision pro is none of that. In fact, reviews say video capture is poor quality.
I struggle to see the similarity personally.
- atoav 3y agoWhere I live it would still illegal to film people without their consent. You wearing a thing doesn't create that consent. And quite frankly even if it wasn't illegal, just assuming others have to be ok with this is a dick move. If you ever showed up to my party wearing these glasses and didn't put them down at the door I would kick you out and never invite you again. And I would not be wrong, except in a world where people are like: "well actually".
- lurking_swe 3y agoOh I agree it’s uncanny and stupid. But in my mind, the word “filming” = recording reality and SAVING IT (or broadcasting it) somewhere. Is pass through video for the purpose of seeing what’s going on around you and navigating considered “filming”? When i’m in public i don’t expect privacy.
- lurking_swe 3y agoi’m curios, does your city / country allow tesla vehicles on the road? They film without your consent as well, for lane assist and “self driving”. where does one draw the line?
