Even if it never touches the battery, I'd imagine there's a noticeable efficiency loss running from inverter at all times, which means higher power and cooling costs.
- sponaugle 3y agoThat is correct - double on-line conversion UPSs are usually in the 92-94% efficiency. Mine is almost always at 94% at 60% load. However that is the cost of on-line conversion and is well worth it.
