  One key trait of arseholes is that they usually have zero interest in changing their behaviour, and tend to strongly dislike others trying to change them. You and I can do better because we care to improve ourselves. Your answer is unrealistic. Have you ever successfully changed a narcissistic arsehole? I certainly don't know how to. I have heard some arseholes talk the talk about how they will change their destructive behaviours (although more usually just denial and excuses), but I have rarely seen them actually succeed in changing.
