Tesla Cybertruck's Aero Wheel Covers Are Chewing Up the Custom Tires
- gedy 3y agoI actually kinda like the weird aesthetics of the Cybertruck, with the exception of those wheelcovers. They look like some cheap plastic Autozone bling.
- PostOnce 3y agoThis is crazy, surely a mechanical engineer would look over every aspect of something so fundamental as the car's wheel and the parts attached to it at a _car company_? How do you miss something like this at a company that size with something safety critical and obvious to a professional engineer? And then it doesn't get caught in review, or in testing (supposing they even did any)? Then again in the past few weeks we've seen Boeing and Philips fuck up seemingly trivial things.
- voakbasda 3y agoI have to wonder if the really good engineers know better than to go work for any company like this or those you mention. They literally may not be able to hire good help, no matter what kind of compensation package they try to throw at the problem.
- TheLoafOfBread 3y agoIt could be questioned, why a stainless steel brick needs aero wheel covers at a first place.
