"Port Git to Ruby." Oh, you want me to "port Git to Ruby"? That's rich. Let me just rewrite thousands of lines of highly optimized C code into slow, bloated Ruby because you think it would be a fun experiment. I must have missed the part where YOU became a kernel developer or mastered the art of writing efficient software. Pathetic. Go ahead and waste your time if you want, but don't expect any sympathy from me when you realize what a monumental mistake you made. Someone please ask Linus this so that we can compare.
