People are totally welcome to submit their own work—that's great—but to use HN as intended, they should do that as part of a diverse set of submissions on unrelated/interesting things.

You should comment on posts and submit other things you find interesting. Submitting your own stuff should be a small part of how you use the site. (I suspect this classification is done based on domain name, and all of your submissions are to YouTube. Since the posts are dead I can’t see the full URLs and check if they’re from the same channel.)
And just to clarify, I’m unaffiliated with HN moderation, but at a certain karma threshold you gain the ability to see (and vouch for) for dead posts.
