More SF supervisors get threats after Y Combinator CEO's posts
- infamouscow 3y agoWhat Garry said is 100% legally protected under the First Amendment. It's also very tame compared to what people wrote in newspapers in the 1800s. No DA is going to waste their time pursing this, it's a guaranteed loss, especially against elected government officials. The body of First Amendment caselaw is vast and every law student knows you can say far far worse things which are protected speech. This is nothing more than activist journalists hating successful people for leading a stand against a self-destructive ideology ruining lives. These folks are the enemy of the people and I sincerely hope the worst for them.
- jrflowers 3y ago> the self-destructive ideology ruining lives What ideology is that?

- cpncrunch 3y agoYoure seriously defending these disturbing and threatening letters and tweets? Disagreement is fine. Wishing people dead is clearly not fine. I guarantee he is going to quit or be fired.
