I'm also curious if it knows which IDs registered as which OSes. For instance, I use a Mac at home, and I use Linux via VNC on Windows at work (though I don't visit HN from there, others might come here from work). So technically I could be using any of the 3, and if I really wanted it to "count" I'd consider myself a Mac user.
