Any rocket induced dropped packets will just be resent after the rocket has passed or will be routed over other links.
Lets not forget about clouds, birds, airplanes, hot hair balloons and tons of other things that separate the ground from space.
We have protocols and networks already designed today that deal with this exact problem.
- wrboyce 3y agoI don’t think there are many birds, aeroplanes, nor hot air balloons in LEO? Are there?! (I doubt clouds too, but meteorological phenomena perhaps?)
- belthesar 3y agoI think the GP is saying that we already deal with these problems with downlinks, so accounting for similar problems on crosslinks is a known, and expected quantity.
